If you want to, you can tell that someone from me that video games can use a wide range of musical styles - making "this sounds like video game music" a 'nothing statement'.
While I do not know that person and cannot tell if they meant it as insult or praise, I'd like to point out that the OST of the various entries of the 'Zelda' and 'Final Fantasy' series are not only very iconic* but also tend to be very well received outside of their core audience. (People who 'never even played it' know the chime that plays when you win a battle in the original 'Final Fantasy VII' for PlayStation.)
And that there are probably more remixes of 'Undertale''s 'Megalovania'-track then there are people in your town.
So yeah. You should 'probably' take that as a compliment. ;)
* proper 'iconic', not 'Ubisoft iconic'...

I think that they could fit into some rhythm game like osu, a game of fire n ice, or gd. But that’s not necessarily bad. I personally love your music! Don’t be discouraged.
